Day 26 to Day 30 – Song Challenge

Finally, we have reached the end of the 30-Day Song Challenge. To sum up the journey of the challenge, it was fun, nostalgic, and filled with every emotion connected with music. Music forms a crucial part whether as the main role or a supporting character.

Day 26 – A Song played with your favorite instrument

Music is all about synchronizing tune with rhythm and for that, any item can become your instrument. You clink two glasses in a rhythm and that becomes your favorite instrument to create music.

I have always been fond of instrumental music. It feels like we do not need the lyrics to express or connect. We connect to every tune of the piece played on that age-old piano or Sitar kept in a lost corner of the house. It feels like we have surrendered our soul to music. Music heals by giving a setback to the overthinking mind. We focus on the rhythm and lose our worries for a while.

We have so many musical instruments. Some of the most loved ones are Guitar, Sitar, Piano, Flute, Cello, and the list can never end. If you want to find an instrument that connects with you and your soul, you can go to a musical instrument store. Keep your heart open and try to listen to the tune that plays when you touch it. Keep your mind open. Do not let the latest trends or choices of your friends or parents come in between you and the instrument that shall meet.

Finding an instrument that helps you heal your soul is not an easy task but is possible for sure. Explore yourself more and know how to keep balance in your mind, body, heart, and soul through music. Everything needs a balance.

Talking about the musical instruments, I have listed out songs that are close to my heart. Do share yours too.

Song for Today’s Challenge

  • Yeh Haseen Vadiyan | Sitar
  • 2CELLOS – Game of Thrones [Sydney Opera House]

Keeping the challenge in rhythm, let us look forward to the next day’s challenge which talks about “Break”.

Day 27 – A Song that has “Break” in the lyrics

The word “Break” can be interpreted in many ways. Take a break from work to relax and enjoy your coffee, accidentally break your vase, break rules and regulations, take a break to recover from the breakup of a long-term relationship, and so on.

Think of the word break and ideas pour in but do you remember any song that has “Break” in the lyrics. It’s time to test that in this challenge.

Break relates to both positive and negative emotions based on how we take them. It’s sad to have a breakup but if the relationship is toxic, then it is wise to break it. This way even a negative word can be full of optimism.

Here goes a song below with “Break” in the lyrics. Share what you got and let us join in too.

Taking a break and moving on to the next day – Day 28 which is all about rain. Get drenched and sing out loud for there is no other moment precious than the one you spend in self-love.

Day 28 – A Song for the rain

Rain and mood are so in sync. When we are happy, we see the rain and want to go out and enjoy it. Also when we are sad, we just watch the rain and feel like nature is consoling us. It is also linked to our mood for making hot pakoras and chai and just being in the present moment and savoring it.

It becomes an excuse for canceling the plans when we do not want to go and also spoils the plans if we want to go. Rain creates a very calm and serene environment. It beautifies nature and feels like everything is so beautiful when you are around nature.

People in love relate to rain so closely that so many stories and poems have been dedicated to their loved ones with rain as the focus. Rain becomes our companion when we are alone. It stays with us and when it stops, we wish that it takes away all that we do not want to keep with us anymore.

We have plenty of songs that have rain as the focus. I am sure you also have one song that goes too well for rain.

Day 29 – A Song that you play on loop

What is that one song that you play on loop? Check your playlist and surely you will come across a song that you have played more than once or twice at a time and still that song does not bore you.

You keep listening to it when you are working or when you are keeping yourself busy with the mundane tasks at home. Sometimes we are not able to change the song but here you need to think about that one song you love to listen to and cannot get enough of it.

Music has the effect to change our mood so listening to high-energy songs lifts our mood and keeps us happy for a considerable time.

Song for Today’s Challenge

  • Strangers in the Night
  • Dil Ko Karaar Aaya

Bringing out of the loop, let us go ahead and take the next day’s challenge which is the last one of the 30-Day Song Challenge.

Day 30 – A Song that uses color names

When we think of colors, it reminds us of festivals, new clothes, nature, gifts, and everything that brings a smile to our faces. Colors are an important factor in helping us cope with the emotional imbalance we have to deal with every day. Change the screensaver of your phone to something related to the beach, and it makes you feel calm. It depends on what color you are using. The colors are warm and cold.

Choose colors that serve the purpose. Different occasions have different colors to them. What we wear when we are sad is different from what we wear when we go out on a trip. Season also decides the colors. Night as dark as black and snow as light as white, sunshine feels yellow and the ocean feels blue.

Our emotions change too when we focus on colors. Different colors have different effects on our minds and mood.

Take your favorite color and think of a song that has this color in the song or it is easier to think of any color that comes first to your mind at the moment. Check what works best for you.

  • Red
