Day 21 to Day 25 – Song Challenge

As we come closer to the end of the Song Challenge, take a moment to reflect on how far you have come till now and what you discovered about yourself and others.

Keep little notes and create a memory page in your diary to keep all these good and old memories close to you. So that even once the challenge is over, you can look back someday and feel good about it.

Day 21 – A Song of your favorite singer

We may have a long list of singers worthy of admiration but narrow it down to a few of your favorite singers. Our choices reveal so much about ourselves. Something to think about today!

Singing is something that attracts all of us. We fall in love with the voice and how it connects us everywhere because we recognize their voice so easily.

Songs connect with us at so many levels. Memories are so closely connected with music. You hear a song and it makes you take a look at your past. You want to memorize something, you create a song for it and you never forget.

Below are a few songs that you might like. You can share yours too.

Song for Today’s Challenge

  • Tera Yaar Hoon Main – Arijit Singh
  • Just the Way You Are – Singer – Bruno Mars

As you ponder over your favorite singers, here comes our next challenge. Food and music – what a pleasant surprise we have got. Let’s take a look.

Day 22 – A Song that has food names in lyrics

When we talk about food, it gives us all sorts of pleasure, be it visually, or in taste. We just go awe in presence of good food and music. It’s a made-in-heaven choice for sure. Good food and good music always have a tranquil effect on our nerves.

That is one reason why the ambiance of restaurants has to be in sync with the music and food that is served there. It takes you to a different world for a while, away from all that bothers you.

When you go to a cafe, take a moment and notice how the song that is playing in the background affects the menu of that place and your choice of food.

Here is a song that has a food name in the song. This might be a tricky one. Think about it and share it with all of us.

Songs for Today’s Challenge

  • Strawberry Swing
  • Cheeni Kum
  • Ala Barfi

Our appetite for music shall never fade away. For now, we take a break from savoring our favorite food item song and move to the next day’s challenge.

Day 23 – A Song that you want to play loud and dance to with your friends

Dancing with your friends is a kind of self-love in itself. You are your authentic self with your close friends and when you dance, you give yourself the love of simply being you. You pour your heart out in all the quirky or carefree steps and often encourage your shy friends to join in.

During our Lohri festival get-togethers or hostel nights, everyone danced like nobody is watching and we did not care. That is when you accept the fact that you do not need approval on everything and that makes us happy.

Once in a while, let your fear go and dance with your friends for a change and notice yourself. It can be so liberating.

I have added a song below that I always liked to play and dance to with my friends. Why not put out that song too for us to try?

  • Galla Goodiyan
  • Shape of you

Day 24 – A Song that has “Freedom” in the lyrics

Freedom from the burden of expectations, from the continuous lies, from the waiting, from the asking, and from everything that never lets us grow in life and find the true meaning of living a purpose-driven life.

It is easier said than done when we say we need to free our mind and soul from all that pulls us down and replace it with all that liberates us and helps us grow.

When you think of a song that has freedom in the lyrics, take a closer look and find out the meaning of true freedom in your own life. What does freedom truly mean to you? Something that we all need to think about before we jump on to the next challenge.

Song for Today’s Challenge

  • Freedom

We have come past the Day 24 of the Song Challenge and the next day seems to be even more on the deeper side of the thoughts than on the lighter one. When you take the next day’s challenge, remind yourself to accept all that is present in your life and surrender. Do not think too much about what’s going to happen next in your life.

Day 25 – A Song that makes you cry

We can all wonder how can a song make us cry. But does every sad song have the power to make you cry? The answer to this question will be mostly a “NO”. Then why does a particular song triggers us so much more than the rest? This shows how the songs are throwing us back to the place where we had kept the little sad moments connecting to someone or some moment.

You can check your playlist and you will surely come across a song that you have heard a million times and it is irreplaceable.

Let us share that song that triggers us to a point where we cry. We need to make peace with our past, accept our present, and worry none about the future. The time when the song cannot trigger you anymore means you have healed.

As you think of that song, I have also put down a song that used to make me cry but it does not have the same effect anymore. We can all move on in our life if we think about it and let it go.

Song for Today’s Challenge

  • Agar Tum Saath Ho

Day 25 of the Song Challenge has been quite an emotional ride and with that, the post comes to an end for today. I shall be back with a new post and new songs to bring on new emotions.
